The compact and feature-rich TS-451DeU combines an Intel Celeron dual-cord 2.0 GHz processor and 2.5GbE connectivity in one chassis, providing businesses with a modern 2.5GbE NAS solution to tackle everyday tasks like file backup/restore, and to boost team collaboration with higher productivity. The space-efficient short depth design makes it easy to install in small media cabinets or places with a lot of cabling. Supporting abundant business and media applications (including file sharing and sync, snapshot protection, virtual machines, cloud storage gateways, video streaming and real-time transcoding) alongside expandable storage capacity and install-on-demand apps, the TS-451DeU is an ideal cost-effective entry-level rackmount NAS.

Compared to a traditional 4-bay rackmount NAS, the compact TS-451DeU has a depth of only 11.57 inches (295 mm). This makes the TS-451DeU an excellent choice for smaller racks, and the unused space can be reserved for cabling or ventilation. The TS-451DeU is space-saving for flexible deployment and is especially suitable for multiple locations and applications including offices, audiovisual rooms, and security surveillance recording.

The TS-451DeU supports SATA 6 Gb/s drives and features a power-efficient Intel Celeron® J4025 dual-core 2.0 GHz processor (bursts up to 2.9 GHz). There are two DDR4 SODIMM memory slots with 2 GB DDR4 memory as standard, but can be upgraded up to 8 GB. With Intel AES-NI encryption engine, the TS-451DeU provides unmatched encryption performance with AES-256 bit encryption acceleration, boosting system performance while ensuring the safety of sensitive business data stored in the NAS.

Hybrid Backup Sync (HBS) consolidates backup, restoration and synchronization functions (using RTRR, Rsync, FTP, CIFS/SMB) for easily transferring data in the TS-451DeU to local, remote and cloud storage spaces (including Microsoft One Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox®, and more) as a comprehensive data storage and disaster recovery plan. Supporting QuDedup technology that removes duplicate data at the source, HBS reduces backup data size and speeds up future backup tasks. This is also beneficial for accelerating multi-version backups for greater protection against data loss.

The short depth TS-451DeU can be easily placed in a media cabinet. By installing Plex® Media Server from QTS App Center, you can stream media files stored on the TS-451DeU to mobiles and media streaming devices (including DLNA, Roku, Amazon Fire TV and Google Chromecast). The TS-451DeU also features advanced Intel UHD Graphics 600 that supports hardware decoding and real-time transcoding, allowing you to convert videos to universal file formats that can be smoothly played on multiple devices. Optimized collaboration with seamless file sharing and sync
The TS-451DeU centrally stores data and files, and supports SMB/CIFS, AFP and NFS protocols for file sharing across Windows, Mac, and Linux/UNIX networks. Coupled with the Qsync utility, any file uploaded to the TS-451DeU will be made available for all linked devices (such as computers, laptops and mobiles). You can sync shared folders and team folders for group file sharing to enhance the flexibility of team projects and collaboration. With the myQNAPcloud service, you can easily and securely connect to the TS-451DeU via the Internet for accessing, managing, and sharing NAS files. The Windows AD and LDAP services enable system administrators to configure user permissions by using an existing Windows AD server, LDAP server, or the TS-451DeU’s built-in LDAP service.
